TVs For Your Practice

How Many – How Big, What Kind

Your DentalCAST TV content is designed to inform about dental medicine, entertain, and help patients feel relaxed and comfortable during their visit. An added benefit is reduced perceived waiting time—especially helpful on days when schedules run a little behind.

To maximize these benefits, patients should be able to see and hear the TVs wherever they are in your practice. For this reason, we recommend installing TVs in both the lobby and operatories rooms.

Some modern TVs use complex operating systems that can make wireless connectivity more challenging. Based on our experience, Hisense is a brand we confidently recommend. Their TVs offer excellent picture quality, are easy to operate, connect smoothly with our receivers, and are typically priced at the lower end of the market.

TV size is important. University studies have shown that larger screens have a greater psychological impact—particularly for promoting calm, relaxation, and enhancing the perceived value of a service. Guidelines suggest a screen size of about 40% – 50% of the typical distance from the patent from the screen. For an average-sized treatment room a 45–55 inch screen is highly effective without feeling oversized.
